Helping Victims of Floods, Wildfires, Earthquakes, Storms

  • ELCA Lutheran Disaster Response has been on the ground supporting victims and responders to the California wildfires. This respected, effective organization is usually the first group in and the last group out whenever and where ever trouble arises.
  • You may donate to support their efforts by visiting the Lutheran Disaster Response website.

Thank You for Christmas Gift Bags

  • PreSchool and Church families worked together to provide Christmas gift bags to more than 60 children (and one family pet) served by Sue’s Pantry here in Vernon Hills
  • Thank you for your generosity

Sharing What We Have…

  • Christ Lutheran works together to support the wider community
  • Collecting items for Chicago homeless encampment – items go direct to those who need. Most requested items include sleeping bags/blankets (clean but not necessarily new), socks, gloves, hand warmers, feminine products, hygiene kits and Mariano gift cards (store closest to our camp)
  • Collecting items for those fleeing danger and war – backpacks and rolling suitcases, yoga/sleeping mats, OTC cold meds
  • Collecting items for Sue’s Pantry, a local pantry serving all who need – modestly sized flour, oil, sugar, rice, detergent, body wash, dish soap, etc.
  • And many more opportunities to share our blessings….
